Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings.
To join our club as a full-fledged member, you must be a registered Democrat in
Florida. Aside from that
single exception, we are non-discriminatory. We welcome men as well as women to
become full members.
Full-fledged members are entitled to notice of DWC meetings and special events,
to receive the DWC of Lee newsletter each month, and to vote for officers and
whatever else calls for a membership vote.
If you wish to belong to DWC of Lee County, you should fill out a membership
form (available at meetings, or you can request one to be sent to you) and send
or bring it to the treasurer with your $25 check for annual dues. Bring your
voter's registration card with you when you join, or to the first meeting after
you join by mail, to complete the process. (State bylaws require us to
verify that you are a registered Democrat.)
Dues are due January 1 of each year. Renewals must be paid by the March meeting;
after that, one is not entitled to vote nor to receive the monthly newsletter
until dues are paid.
Members who join for the first time between September 1 and January 1 have free membership during
that time, and will not owe dues again until the January of the following year.
